San Mauro Castelverde

Senz the shadow of a doubt the founders of the district of San Mauro Cstelverde Quilmes would never have imagined that devotion could put down roots so deep in their area of \u200b\u200bresidence. The story goes that the original 'Italian village called San Mauro was because some Benedictine monks gave the residents a part of the skull of St. Maurus. In 1863 it was added to the appositive Castelverde derived from the castle built in the vicinity of the site. A Quilmes not there is the cranium of San Mauro and even the castle, but two wonderful schools and a chapel. Locals call themselves Maurino and also this year as always celebrated their patron saint in the traditional feast. Held Sunday, March 15, the feast of San Mauro has been illuminated by a beautiful sunny day and the Maurini of joy in celebrating their patron saint.
