Victory for the Turin Marco Littamè, already Italian champion in 2008, followed from light Joachim Oberhauser (Termeno, Bolzano) and the new European champion Luca Donini Molveno (Trento). In the women's victory Laura Montanari (Torino), while Kostrhun Petr (Czech Republic), due to open formula, won the sports category, ahead of Moreno Tonin Padova, Brescia Piero Pinto and the Lazio Fabio Pasquali. Best teams, in order, Team South Tirol, the Emilian of Spiritolibero and VL Monte White.
The bad weather put a strain on patience and the ability of pilots and specialists. Only two of the six heats were provided regularly sailed on routes 51 and 47 km respectively. A third, scheduled for a distance of 102 km, was stopped by the excessive strengthening of the wind while the 110 participants were in flight.
From July 30 to August 8 at the Monte Cucco (Signet, Perugia), Italy will hold the pre-world hang-gliding, preliminary event at the world championships to be held in the same place and time next year, almost a recognition of the 'good international position of Italian free flight. In fact, the blue team to hold two world titles and two individuals of gliding, as well as European titles in the same glider. The national governing this world is getting ready to pre-mid-July in Piedrahita (Spain).
